The Multiverse Theory.

The Multiverse: Are There More Universes?
Have you ever thought that there might be multiverses too or there might be other dimensions that can be like us? Well, this is a thought that everyone always thinks about. And some scientists also proposed this idea. In this post all about ideas and theories about the multiverse are mentioned.
What Is Multiverse?
Multiverse is a theory that suggest that there might be many universes, dimensions or worlds in addition to ours. This theory sounds like sci-fiction, but it may be real too. Many also suggests that there might be our different or alike versions too. There might be laws and physics like us or something different.
Why Are Scientists Taking This Seriously?
Scientists took the multiverse theory seriously because many laws and theories of physics predicted the multiverse naturally when they were not trying to predict it. Many ideas and theories were also suggested related to the Multiverse which gave scientific reasons for the existence of the Multiverse, that are mentioned below:
1. Quantum Physics and Superposition:
In Quantum Physics, particles can exist in multiple states at a time which is known as superposition. Similar is the Many Worlds Interpretation (MWI), that says that when a decision or and observation happens, the Universe splits and that each outcome plays out in a new branch of the Universe. In simple words, if you became a doctor in this Universe, you would go to Mars in the other, die in another and never existed in the other. This version and idea of the Multiverse is based on real math, so this might be true.
2. Cosmic Inflation and Bubble Universes:
As you know, the Universe expanded at the speed of light which is called inflation. Some models of the Multiverse suggest that inflation is external, which means that Universes form like bubbles in boiling water and each bubble is a different Universe. They expand, have different physical laws and don't touch each other. This idea is known as Bubble Universe Theory or Inflationary universe.
3. The String Theory and Brane Multiverse:
The string theory suggests that everything is made of tiny strings that vibrates in 11 dimensions and that our Universe might be a 3D membrane (brane) that might be floating in a higher-dimensional space. Other branes might exist parallel to ours and forming a Brane Multiverse. These Universes might be just millimeters away from our Universe but could never reach or touch our Universe.
4. Mathematical Universe Hypothesis:
This idea is suggested by Max Tegmark and says that every possible mathematical structure corresponds to a real Universe. This means that any Universe that's logically possible to exist, exists somewhere. This is the most extreme form of Multiverse. This Multiverse is often called as Ultimate Ensemble or Level IV Multiverse.

Different Levels of the Multiverse: By Max Tegmark.
Max Tegmark also suggested different levels of the Multiverse that are:
Level I:
Level I Multiverse.
This level of multiverses is the Infinite Universe. They might have some laws of physics but different regions.
Level II:
Level II Multiverse.
This level is Bubble Universes. They might have different physical constants and laws.
Level III:
Level IV:
Level IV Multiverse.
Can We See the Multiverses?
There is a question that can we see the other Universes? So, the answer is probably not, because they are disconnected and far from us which means their light can't reach us. But some theories predict signs that they might be connected or near us like:
- Cold spots in the Cosmic Microwave Background can be possible bruises from the other Universe.
- Gravitational Waves might be from the collisions of bubbles.
- Quantum effects or patterns that are too weird to be related and explained by our Universe alone.
Can There Be Your More Versions in the Multiverse?
The answer is yes, according to mathematics and quantum. They say that there might be infinite versions of you, some can be identical, some can be different, and some can be those whose one decision changed their whole life.
Multiverse in Pop-Culture:
The idea of the multiverse has a large effect on the Pop-Culture. There are any films, movies or series that showed the multiverse concepts. Some movies and series are:
- Marvel and DC.
- Everything Everywhere All at Once.
- Rick and Morty.
- Interstellar.
- Doctor Strange.
- Tenet.
- Inception.
In simple worlds, multiverse is something that humans wondered if it is real or not. And still are researching and observing if it is real or not.
